Will Burchett is from a small town in the New Forest, England. He studied Graphic Design at Bournemouth Art College, and Majored in Illustration at Portsmouth University, 2005. He now lives in Oakland, California where he produces paintings out of his studio at home.
Will is currently working on contemporary Industrial paintings in Oil. Old factories, freight trains, rusty metal, random sections of freeway and other places of the like are inspiration and subject matter. Much of which are found in the surrounding East Bay. Visual elements to this work are well-defined objects such as bolts, conveyor belts, parts of machinery combined with high contrast light and shadows. Some of the places painted are no longer there due to them being out dated and unsafe. Exploration and discovering new places with interesting visual perspectives are an intrinsic part of Wills creative process.
